Henry Albert Hartland (1840-1893) was an Irish born watercolour and landscape painter who was brought up in Cork and studied at the Cork School of Art. After finishing his studies he worked as an illustrator for a Cork bookseller and making theatrical scenery in Cork and Dublin. However, he found little success in Ireland and so relocated to Liverpool where he was made a member of the Liverpool Academy and the Society of Painters in Watercolours.
Hartland exhibited numerous times with the Royal Hibernian Academy (RHA) along with the Royal Academy and the Society of Artists in London.

Oleography is a Victorian process of replicating oil paintings using a printing technique which combines oils and varnishes, aiming to capture the colour, texture, and character of an original painting. Each Oleograph is carefully hand-finished to recreate the timeless look and appeal of an original Oil Painting.

We offer free delivery on UK orders over £50. Standard delivery typically takes 3 to 5 working days. Items are carefully packaged to protect your artwork in transit. Returns are accepted within 14 days of receipt in original condition. Please contact us before returning any item.

Keep your oleograph away from direct sunlight to preserve the richness of the colours. Wipe the frame gently with a soft dry cloth. Avoid damp environments. The canvas may be lightly dusted with a soft brush.
