A Fine Early C20th Watercolour of a River Landscape listed as circle of David Cox Snr (1783-1859). This attractive Regency Watercolour measures 20 inches x 16 inches & is elegantly framed in an ornate rococo Gilt Wood & Gesso Gallery Frame with overall measurements being 24 inches x 20 inches. The painting is in good condition with some foxing in the sky area, commensurate with its age, & is signed (lower left) but undated. There is a pencil inscription on the reverse.

Oleography is a Victorian process of replicating oil paintings using a printing technique which combines oils and varnishes, aiming to capture the colour, texture, and character of an original painting. Each Oleograph is carefully hand-finished to recreate the timeless look and appeal of an original Oil Painting.

We offer free delivery on UK orders over £50. Standard delivery typically takes 3 to 5 working days. Items are carefully packaged to protect your artwork in transit. Returns are accepted within 14 days of receipt in original condition. Please contact us before returning any item.

Keep your oleograph away from direct sunlight to preserve the richness of the colours. Wipe the frame gently with a soft dry cloth. Avoid damp environments. The canvas may be lightly dusted with a soft brush.
