A Fine C19th Victorian Oil on Artists Board depicting a Rural Lane attributed to the C19th East Anglian Artist Thomas Churchyard (1798-1865). This delightful antique oil painting measures 9 inches x 6 inches & is in an antique C19th Ornate Gilt Gesso Frame with overall measurements being 13 inches x 10 inches. The painting is in good condition with no losses or damage & is inscribed faintly on the reverse "T.Churchyard" with the number 63. The inscription is difficult to capture on the photos as it is so faint but is clearly visible in the correct light.

Oleography is a Victorian process of replicating oil paintings using a printing technique which combines oils and varnishes, aiming to capture the colour, texture, and character of an original painting. Each Oleograph is carefully hand-finished to recreate the timeless look and appeal of an original Oil Painting.

We offer free delivery on UK orders over £50. Standard delivery typically takes 3 to 5 working days. Items are carefully packaged to protect your artwork in transit. Returns are accepted within 14 days of receipt in original condition. Please contact us before returning any item.

Keep your oleograph away from direct sunlight to preserve the richness of the colours. Wipe the frame gently with a soft dry cloth. Avoid damp environments. The canvas may be lightly dusted with a soft brush.
